Built to breathe with the local climate, our architecture utilises natural ventilation, solar heating, natural daylight, thermal mass, and orientation to elevate comfort. This deliberate approach reduces our reliance on mechanical cooling, allowing the building to exist in harmony with its surroundings.
We employ intelligent Building Management Systems (BMS) across select Chatrium locations, to monitor and refine our energy use in real-time, ensuring resources are used only when necessary. BMS works silently in the background to optimise our operations while minimising our footprint on the world, allowing us to ""Think First, Think Earth"".
Our rooms are designed to respond to you by balancing your personal comfort with an intelligent, and mindful, approach to energy. The GRMS automatically and quietly ensures that the environment is always precisely as it should be.
PIR Motion Sensors
Subtle sensors detect your movement to maintain a welcoming atmosphere, activating lighting and climate control only when the room is in use.
Magnetic Door Sensors
Upon your arrival, the system intuitively enters ""Welcome Mode,"" restoring your preferred settings the moment the door is closed.
Unoccupied Mode
When the room is still, the system enters a restful, energy-saving state, dimming the lights and adjusting the temperature for optimal efficiency.
Occupied Mode
The space remains fully attuned to your comfort as long as you are present, going from energy-saving to full-function at the slightest movement.
As part of ""Think First, Think Earth"", four of Chatrium's propeties have already transitioned to full LED lighting across all rooms and ammenities, in a deliberate move to conserve resources. In fact, Chatrium Rawai Phuket's LED bulbs use up to 80% less energy and last significantly longer than traditional lighting. This simple is one of many ESG initiatives we have embraced to bring sustainable luxury to life.
For those navigating the island by electric vehicle, we are equipped with dedicated charging stations on-site. A modern convenience designed to support a cleaner journey, allowing you to recharge with ease throughout your stay.
We use advanced, biodegradable Ecolab cleaning solutions for our laundry and housekeeping that prioritise safety, cleanliness and the environment. These products use significantly less water, energy, and plastics. A small gesture, but one that never compromises our water or land.
By partnering with regional farmers and artisans, we are able to serve seasonal produce that supports the local communities while reducing our footprint on the land. These produce are a reflection of the island's authentic character, brought to your table with a profound respect for the source.
